AI weather forecast
Using artificial intelligence for localised weather forecasts: precise forecasts for planning and crop protection.
Weather forecasts - wherever you need them
VineForecast is not tied to weather stations and yet you receive precise forecasts for any location.
Optimised, location-specific forecasts
Our AI takes into account local topography such as slope inclination and altitude and uses this to calculate a precise microclimate - for site-specific, reliable forecasts.
Cost-efficient without your own weather station
You do not need your own weather station and therefore save on acquisition and maintenance costs - without compromising on the data quality of the forecast.
Forecasts customised for viticulture
-
Regionalising the weather data
We convert large-scale models to your areas using AI. This turns rough predictions into usable, locally precise data.
-
Forecasts where you need them
Independent of weather stations, you receive forecasts for every point in the vineyard - even for remote or new locations.
-
Overall picture instead of selective insight
While a weather station only covers a single location, our AI provides a complete picture of different locations - and at a low budget.
Individual values and processed statements
-
All data visible in detail
Keep an eye on temperature, precipitation, humidity and other values in a clearly structured way for different locations.
-
Plant protection weather
Receive clear, practical advice on when to apply for optimum plant protection.
-
Radars for precipitation history (regionally available)
See exactly where and how much it has rained - for informed decisions in your vineyard.

Frequently asked questions
Weather stations are first and foremost measuring instruments. However, weather forecasts - i.e. all data that lies in the future - are calculated by weather services using large supercomputers and numerous data sources. We obtain this forecast data and then refine it using our own algorithms and AI models.
A single weather station does not improve forecasts, as the measured data points are too few to have a noticeable influence on weather models. In addition, measured values at a height of 2 metres only play a subordinate role in forecasts. For better forecasts, additional atmospheric data would be necessary - for example from weather balloons or radar measurements.
Local influencing factors such as topography and microclimate, which our AI takes into account, are more decisive for precise forecasts. Weather stations therefore primarily help you to better analyse the past, but are only of limited relevance for improving forecasts.
Depending on the region, we obtain our data from various official weather services. In Germany, for example, we work with the German Weather Service (DWD), in Australia with the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM). We use corresponding national or international providers for other countries.
The number of locations that can be monitored depends on your chosen tariff. Anything is possible - from a single location to several hundred.
