Targeted prediction of Peronospora and Oidium -
without your own weather station.
Healthy grapes with minimal crop protection
With dynamic recommendations, you can spray at the optimum time - for healthy vines with minimum use of chemicals.
Long-term insights
VineForecast calculates disease risks up to 14 days in advance - for forward-looking and reliable planning of your plant protection strategies.
Forecasts at several locations instead of selective measurement
You receive precise forecasts for many locations instead of just a single weather station point.
Peronospora and Oidium prediction
-
14-day forecast
VineForecast calculates the risk of infection up to 14 days in advance - for forward-looking and safe planning.
-
Grape variety adaptation
Depending on the grape variety, VineForecast dynamically adjusts susceptibility and growth progression to provide precise risk forecasts.
-
Review of the year
Retrospectively analyse phases with high infection pressure and use these findings for future decisions.
Recommendation for action
-
Wash-off and growth limits per active ingredient
VineForecast calculates the current protective effect based on precipitation and growth rate - individually for each active ingredient.
-
Save up to three measures per year
Our field trials show a savings potential of 1-3 plant protection measures per season compared to the local plant protection recommendation.
-
Annual field trials
Our algorithm is tested every year in field trials and systematically developed further.
Field trials
Every year, VineForecast reviews its recommendations for action in the field. You can find the results in our related blog articles.

Reduction also possible in the 2025 field trial: challenges due to frost and site conditions
In 2025, we also conducted a field trial together with Certis Belchim to test the VineForecast algorithm.

Frequently asked questions
Our disease models are based on the latest viticultural research. For Oidium, we are guided by the OiDiag Index according to W. K. Kast and make specific adjustments based on further research, data recording, field trials and experience.
For the peronospora forecast, VineForecast uses different models depending on the phase. Oospore germination and primary infection are calculated according to the methodology of Caffi & Rossi. Secondary infections are calculated using the leaf wetness hours (BNG). In addition, susceptibility and phenological stage are taken into account and these threshold values are adjusted accordingly.
Yes, VineForecast has stored various models for fungus-resistant varieties in the system.
Of course - you have the possibility to test VineForecast for 30 days free of charge and to extend the test phase for another 30 days.
